Since mid-'08 (when the economy started shrinking), I've kept my promotions to a bare minimum. When the business launched, I tried a few different things, with varying success: - PET EVENTS ... Dogs go to dog events. Dogs poop. I volunteered to do the scooping for free. By donating my services, I negotiated a booth where our literature could be distributed. And while doing the actual scooping, I became a walking billboard. - YELLOW PAGES / ONLINE LISTING(S) ... Yes, it's spendy but if you can identify the most widely used YP in your area, it could be a boon. For us Dallasites, it's AT&T all the way. This is the lifeblood of my business, hands down. - TRADE PERIODICALS ... Does your vet office offer free trade mags? Get a listing in one and you have a captive audience. Hope this helps.
